Our Little Scare with Harley

On November 20th we had a really big scare.  We were over at Denise's house and Harley was playing with another dog when all the sudden he flopped over and wouldn't move, his breathing was way off and short almost to where he was hardly breathing at all.  We waited for the on-call vet for an hour with him like that not making any sounds and also not moving, it was so freaky. He said he had a seizure and sent us home, only looking at Harley for 10 min. Needless to say we went to a different vet the next day and they took a blood sample and told us that most likely because of his diet he had the seizure. To many enzymes in his liver, so he put him on a new diet, also he wants Harley to gain about 3 lbs. !! This is a lot seeing how he only weighs 5 lbs. right now.  Our 1st vet never once said anything about his weight even when i asked if he was a little thin.   I am so glad that we changed vets.  Harley has been doing so much better since it all happened he is a lot calmer that's for sure. We think with what happened it scared him a bit and now he doesn't like to get to excited.
